South Alabama sits on the coastal plain — sand, clay and no hard-rock limestone quarries. Nearly every ton of crushed stone sold between Mobile and Orange Beach is trucked, barged or railed in from somewhere else, then marked up again by the yard that resells it.
We cut out that middle step. Our trucks load at the limestone quarries next to our yard in Calera and haul the full 18-ton load straight to your site in Baldwin or Mobile County. One truck, one price, stone that has not been sitting in a stockpile.
What an 18-ton load does
- New driveway: a typical 12 × 100 ft driveway at 3–4" deep
- Parking pad: a 30 × 30 ft pad for boats, RVs or equipment at 4–5"
- Base under a shop or slab: 4–6" of crusher run under a 30 × 40 ft building
- Lot or laydown yard: about 1,000 sq ft at 4" per load

How much does a load of gravel cost in Baldwin and Mobile County?
Delivered pricing starts at $1,650 per 18-ton truckload, based on diesel at or below $5.50/gallon. If diesel is above $5.50 a fuel surcharge may apply — we always confirm the exact delivered price before the truck is dispatched.
How much does one 18-ton load cover?
About 12–13 cubic yards of stone — roughly 1,000 sq ft at 4" deep or 1,400 sq ft at 3". That is a typical 12 ft × 90–110 ft driveway. Use the calculator above for your exact size.
Why is the stone coming from Calera?
The Gulf Coast plain has sand and clay but no hard-rock limestone quarries. Most crushed stone sold locally is shipped in from elsewhere and marked up by a yard. We load quarry-direct in Calera and haul the full truck straight to your site.
Do you sell less than a full truckload?
South Alabama deliveries are priced by the truckload (up to 18 tons). If your job needs just a few tons, call our South AL dispatch — we will tell you honestly whether a full load or a local yard is the better deal.
Can the truck dump where I need it?
Yes, as long as a loaded dump truck can safely reach the spot — firm ground, about 12 ft of width and clearance from overhead lines and branches. Tell us about soft sand, gates or tight turns when you order.
